Sculptures in two new juried shows in Nashville.TN Aug- Oct

This month two new juried shows go up in Nashville, TN, and I am happy to be a part of both.  First is the "Ten from TACA" show up at the Leu Gallery at Belmont University the show is up now and runs through mid October.  I have three lifesize sculptures from my Alzheimer's body of work in this show.  The reception is Thursday Sept 27 from 5-7pm, come out and see this wonderful show and talk with me at reception if you are around the Nashville area.
The second show is "TACA Biennial" it is up at the Tennessee State Museum up Aug - Oct also.  This is a larger wonderful show of best artisans of Tennessee.  The reception for this one is Sat. Sept 29 7-9pm showing a surreal animal/figure sculpture in this show.
A third show "Black and White" opens in Asheville, NC at Folk Art Center first of Sept.  This will be an exciting show of all media and all black and white.  Fun to see all the work the same color.
Fourth one I am very excited about which is the "Live exhibition of the Artists for Conservation" during their conservation festival north of Vancouver, Canada in Oct.  I have my little "tarsier"sculpture in this show.  It is a juried show and honor to be in choosing only 90 artists out of the 350 applied.

Other news:  I am busy working on a few new series of sculptures and also some wildlife paintings to be view toward end of the year and 2013.  2013 gearing up to be a very busy year.  Stay tuned will be updating more regularly, and if you are around Nashville in Sept come on out to both art receptions and chat, hope to see you there.
